Approximately £100 per day per delegate. Charges depend on how many delegates book.

This half-day session will explore how to manage effective one-to-ones with team members.  The aim will be to develop an approach to one-to-one conversations that is positive and constructive for both the individual and the manager.   

The session will look at strategies and techniques for the following key areas: 

  • structuring the one-to-one conversation in a constructive and purposeful way 
  • understanding the Parent, Adult, Child model and ensuring the conversation is conducted in Adult-Adult mode
  • setting and agreeing clear expectations and objectives for the meeting
  • conducting one-to-one meetings online with hybrid workers
  • giving feedback in an effective, clear, and confident way 
  • helping individuals to develop their skills, confidence, and overall performance  
  • exploring issues and concerns about any aspect of performance, including any barriers to achieving the performance desired
  • creating an environment in which team members feel confident to give feedback to their manager  
  • discussing wellbeing and resilience using the pressure/performance model
  • discussing learning and development  
  • Agreeing follow-up

Online sessions include usual breaks. Zoom link(s) are auto-sent from [email protected] a few days in advance of delivery. Full instructions and course handouts will also be sent in advance.
